GUIDE: Replacement / Renew Drawer Runners
There are many different types of drawer runners/slides/glides/rails for many different applications, and this can be confusing when trying to replace or renew for an existing drawer box. However, identifying a few key features can simplify the selection process and narrow down to the correct range.
Here are a few brief pointers to the most common runners that customers regularly require - either to replace or to use for new units.
| Narrow metal ball bearing runners Ikea/old MFI type lightweight metal ball bearing narrow runners fitting into a drawer box that’s been grooved out (most common to break if they are pulled too far!): 17mm Goove Ball Bearing Runners (10 kg) | ![]() |
